Aloe jucunda

A truly unique succulent that is often overlooked, Aloe jucunda makes a great houseplant. Like most succulents, it is happiest with minimal watering and bright diffuse light, and of course temps around 70 deg F (room temp).

Native to a tiny location in Somalia, it is considered critically endangered in its native habitat on the Ga'an Libah plateau, an outcropping of limestone some 30km across. They are commonly propagated for the houseplant market, so there is very little chance of this remarkable plant going extinct.
