The Christmas season of 2019 has arrived!  We have been very busy at the greenhouse preparing for the season. We have new classes to offer and new products in the gift store. The Christmas trees are arriving soon, the poinsettias are turning red, soon all will be ready for that most magical holiday of the year. I love Christmas! The sights, smells (and tastes!) that bring our memories back to Christmas' past and dream of Christmas' future.... Whats happening: the Autumn edition

With Fall edging into sight, all things Autumn are beginning to happen at the greenhouse. Here is an update on whats going on around here. Our Fall Mums are doing spectacularly. Decorating for fall is as simple as placing some of these around your yard. They are just starting to bloom and in a few days they will be total balls of colour! Our houseplant collection continues to grow (pun intended!) Avoid gardening withdrawal this fall by jungalowing your house. Pumpkins! New this year we are growing pumpkins for late Autumn sales. Spring has Sprung!

Despite the drifts of snow outside, inside the greenhouse there are definite signs of spring. Snow outside But inside spring has sprung! Spring has officially arrived at Sabados Greenhouse! Yesterday we put the first plants out into the main greenhouse. The furnaces were given a thorough spring cleaning and tune-up. They are rumbling merrily keeping the plants warm through the night. A Short Letter to Winter

Dear Winter, you have many magical qualities; sparkling ice crystals, frosty breath, snowdrifts carved by the wind into impossible sculptures... Could you please add to your list of magical qualities the ability to avoid filling driveways and sidewalks with snow? Especially when you haven't snowed much and instead use the wind to blow what did fall into the only open spaces, ie. driveways and sidewalks. It would be appreciated, Thanks.
