Vinca, Foliage

Plant Habit: Vinca is a spreading plant that is primarily used for foliage in baskets or containers. It does, however,  bloom with lovely small periwinkle coloured blossoms. 

It is equally happy in either sun or shade and can overwinter in a sheltered spot in Manitoba's climate.  When planted in a garden bed it creates a ground cover rooting down as it goes. It looks very nice tumbling over the edge of a rock ledge in a rock garden.
